Dr. Briana Lutz and I go into a pretty thoughtful discussion talking about different herbs and botanicals to support our overall health, but also in regards to our hormones.

Dr. Briana Lutz, ND, RH is a licensed naturopathic doctor practicing in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada with a focus in women’s health and fertility. She obtained her registered herbalist (RH) designation to reflect her advanced knowledge and therapeutic application of botanical medicine. She has a passion for utilizing botanical medicine, both clinically targeted and empowering her patients to safely use herbs as part of their lifestyle.

I personally met Dr. Briana Lutz through Saint Francis Herbs Farms, and having her here to chat is just perfect to go deeper into the many benefits herbs have. Dr. Lutz talks about her personal journey into botanical medicine as well as the following very interesting topics, giving the best and actionable advice to incorporate them right away into your daily nutrition:

  • Role that herbs can play in our daily health.
  • Herbs vs vitamins and minerals, plus the possible side effects.
  • Different grades and dosages.
  • Base herbs to start treating digestive issues and hormonal health.
  • Controlling blood sugar with herbs.
  • Supporting the adrenals and the thyroid with herbs.
  • Herbs to treat lack of energy.
  • Supporting reproductive health with herbs.
  • Supporting our elimination pathways.
  • Estrogen dominance: Finding where the excess of estrogen is coming from.

Hoping this wonderful episode helps you know more about herbs and how to use them as another element in your everyday life. Wishing more simplicity and ease in all that you do!
