I wanted to put another series together for all of you, I know how much you have enjoyed the previous one directed at The Audacious Woman, and that is the reason why this new series is launching today. This time, it is about the Seven Most Common Areas of Imbalance in a Woman’s Body, those areas where there is a lot of confusion in regards to what we were historically being taught in terms of what we are doing to and with our bodies. The first area that I want to address is weight loss, and I have to say in the first place that I don’t even agree with that term!

During these seven episodes you will learn how to put on muscle and reconfigure your body composition, it is not about the number that the scale shows, but instead we should make our choices based on the composition of our body. I am also going to be giving you deeper information about your thyroid, estrogen, progesterone, androgens, DHEA and testosterone, aspects that could be contributing to conditions such as polycystic ovarian syndrome and Hirsutism (excess of hair growth). In this series, we will also dive deep into PMS and PMDD (Premenstrual dysphoric disorder). The whole purpose of this series is to bring you back to school, offering valuable information to promote a deeper connection between you and your body.

These are the main topics of the first episode of an amazing series:

  • I share my experience during my modelling years and how that opened my eyes in regards to body composition.
  • The terrible effects of the diet culture.
  • Your body composition impacts your brain, your ageing and hormones.
  • The connection between exercise and your immune system.
  • Back up and listen to your body!
  • Nutrition and diet.
  • Your macronutrients: Protein, fat, and fibre.
  • Muscle growth is stimulated by exercise, protein, rest, and recovery.
  • How much protein do you need to consume on a daily basis?
  • Carbs are not the problem, it is most likely the kind of carbs you are choosing.
  • Your thyroid health matters to your muscles.
  • What happens during perimenopause and menopause?
  • Lab test: Ask for a full thyroid panel.

You have to be patient and honest with yourself about the things that you are prepared to do and for those that you are not prepared to do yet, stop the cycle of “all or nothing”. Hoping today’s episode helps you start walking the path of recovering the precious connection with your body. Wishing more simplicity and ease in all that you do!
