In this episode, I get into what I really think is underneath all of this (and it’s not ambition). For a lot of us, what we’ve been calling ambition is actually survival. From the time we were little girls, being good, capable, productive, and useful got rewarded. And eventually our nervous systems wired achievement to safety. If I perform, I’m safe. If I’m useful, I’m loved.

That’s not a personality trait. That’s a nervous system pattern. And it explains why slowing down can feel absolutely terrifying even when your body is begging for rest.

Reflection questions from this episode:

  • What do you actually want if no one was watching?
  • What are you still trying to prove, and to whom?
  • If you woke up tomorrow already believing you were enough, what would you stop chasing?
  • Write your own definition of success. Not your industry’s, not Instagram’s, not your parents’. Yours.
  • Audit your calendar. Does it reflect what you say you want?

Let’s dive in!
