Stay Hydrated. Drink Green.
It is super important to stay hydrated on hot, humid, hazy days like today, so what are your best options?
The obvious one would be plenty of water; 2-3 litters worth each day. Preferably in a glass or BPA free hard plastic bottle or Stainless Steel bottle. Do not let your water get hated up in places such as your car or outside on the deck; especially if it is in plastic which will leach the chemicals in the plastic back into the water you are drinking.
My favourite electrolyte balancing drink is Coconut Water. ! serving per day serves up about 50 calories, 6 grams of all natural sugar and a huge hydrating punch!
I also love having my clients add chlorophyll into their water, simply the easiest way to get more green happening in your life.
Chlorophyll is the lifeblood of plants helping them to convert light from the sun into stored energy within the plant itself. The chemical structure of chlorophyl is almost identical to human haemoglobin (red blood cells). THe only difference is that chlorophyll contains an atom of magnesium and haemoglobin as an atom of iron. BUT…because if this, chlorophyll rapidly crosses over in to the bloodstream to promote oxygenation and regeneration.
Basically, chlorophyll helps to create new blood!
Having rich, pure, alkalized blood helps to increase our immunity, health, energy and overall vitality.
When we drink chlorophyll it:
- It quenches your thirst and reduces the sensation of ‘dry-mouth’.
- It is also extremely purifying for your liver, blood and kidneys.
- It helps to stabilize the fora of your gut and promote healthy, good bacteria.
- It deodorizes your body and breath from the inside out.
You can find chlorophyll in your natural health stores or the natural health section. You can’t overdose on it but each bottle you buy will give specific directions for its most optimal use.
So be green today, get a little healthier and try something new.
Your body will thank you:)
