I made this for my kids today and they LOVED it! This is a great alternative to the not-so-healthy Nutella.

250 grams of organic pitted dates

70 grams organic whole hazelnuts

3/4 cup of cocoa powder

1. In a pot, add the dates and enough water to cover them completely. Cook covered at medium heat until the dates are very soft. Most of the water should be absorbed by the dates.

2. Pulse hazelnuts in food processor until finely ground.

3. Add the dates, with the remaining water, and the cocoa powder to the ground hazelnuts, and blend together until you get a smooth paste.

You can use this delicious and healthy spread on toast, buckwheat waffles, as a treat to dip fresh fruit in or right off the spoon!

Store in a glass mason jar and keep in the fridge for up to a month
