My husband had to have a small procedure to fix a hernia. It was a pretty low grade hernia. It wasn’t noticeable, but his family doctor recommended that he get it fixed now instead of risking it getting worse and having the “jab” down the road. After a quick COVID test, he had the procedure. The doctors treated him well (fed him well), but there was nothing about healing, how the skin should heal after, and what it would look like as a scar.

I knew what to expect so I put a homeopathic kit together with arnica, bellis and hypericum.

  • Then II got to thinking about what should we apply topically when he first cam out of surgery. I used copaiba and frankincense, and helichrysum.
  • He wasn’t able to shower or wet the spot for a week because the bandaids were on, so that is where the homeopathic remedies was really going to help him. I had my husband take multi-source collagen that had turmeric in it. Tumeric is an anti-inflammatory and the collagen helps him heal the joints. He had them in an elixor and/or a shake.
  • I also had him take the St. Francis herb farm hepato, DR. It’s a daily liver tonic that can help the liver detoxify and filter. He wasn’t given many medications and when your body is under more stress, it can change and shift the way you recognize certain things coming into your body. The tonic has milk thistle and silymarin that are really important anti-inflammatory ingredients. Dandelion and globe artichoke are also ingredients in the tonic. He had it a few days before going into his procedure and a few days after.
  • Now that the surgical tape is off and everything is healing pretty well. he is off of the internal remedies
  • His skin was feeling dry after they painted him down before the procedure so we applied a sooth oil. We have been doing a combination of the nourish and sooth oils, but the sooth oil really seems to be doing the trick. The sooth oil is from Skin Essence with the purpose of hydrating the skin. Women often use the sooth oils for rosetta or sensitive skin during the winter months. I put it on my face right before bed. It’s made up of hobo oil, macadamian nut oil, rose hip, barrage oil, calendula, vitamin E, and sage.
