The DUTCH that we’re interested in is the Dried Urinary Test for Comprehensive Hormones. This test is administered during the luteal phase of your menstrual cycle. That’s the second half of your cycle after ovulation and right before your period.

A menstrual cycle has four phases and during each phase, distinct things are happening with the body, including hormonal fluctuations. Testing at the peak of the luteal phase gives a better snapshot of what your hormone levels truly are. DUTCH is useful because results help use understand what’s going on in your body, which means we can make a plan to reduce undesirable symptoms associated with your menstrual cycle.
