Ep #123 | The Most Common Reasons for Hair Loss
2020 has brought hair loss to a massive amount of women, and I include myself in this group. Last year I suffered from hair loss for the first time after childbirth. It impacted me around late July when I started noticing I was losing a lot of hair while washing it. In my case, it was directly caused by stress.
In this episode, I am diving deep into the most common reasons for hair loss, how you can support your hair and scalp health, lifestyle factors, and all you need to know to start the slow process towards healthier hair (Sorry! No quick fixes).
Here are the main topics of today’s episode:
- Why is your hair falling and getting thinner?
- The role of estrogen in hair loss.
- Your lifestyle matters.
- What are the nutrients that your hair needs?
- Lack of sleep and stress has an impact on your hair.
- Inflammation induces hair loss.
- The adrenal connection.
- Essential oils and supplements for your hair health.
- Learn to manage your levels of stress.
- Excessive shedding.
- Nutrient deficiencies trigger hair loss.
- High prolactin is another reason for hair loss.
- Autoimmune and androgenic alopecia.
- Are you getting enough protein?
- Is your blood sugar stable?
- Different supplements and therapies to support your scalp and hair.
I want you to think bigger than supplements and go beyond what is in the bottles. I hope this episode helps you to take a better look at how you are nourishing your body and the shifts in your lifestyle that you can make to not also help your hair but your whole health. Wishing more simplicity and ease in all that you do!
