The next time you are rushing out the door in the morning and don’t have time for a full breakfast; try one of these incredible smoothie options. They are quick, nutritious, balanced and will keep you going until your mid-morning snack. You can make these the night before and just give it a shake in the morning before you drink up.

Smoothies also make a great mid-morning and afternoon snack and a fantastic post workout snack. Once you get the swing of it you will no longer need recipes, just a little of this and a little of that, blend it up and VOILA you have a smoothie. Just be careful to watch the calorie count of your ingredients, they can add up quickly and a smoothie should be no more than 250-300kcal per serving.

My favorite kitchen tool for preparing these is the Magic Bullet; cheap, small, portable and a cinch to wash…if you don’t already own one go out and get it!
