To Train or not to Train???

So as many of you know I did my first Tri last year and had a blast, so I have signed my self up for three more this year and have been training pretty diligently for the last 6 months ( thank you Laura:)). Its not too often that I miss a training day but today…well today was just one of those days when I couldn’t make it happen.

It’s not lack of time holding me back… it’s ME, I’m tired, I’m relaxing on the couch with my kiddies and husband and really looking forward to putting them to bed soon and enjoying a night of Modern Family and Cougar Town – I do not feel like moving let alone working out!

So that’s it…I have given myself permission to chill and do nothing and it feels great!

Tip #1 – sometimes it does feel better, even when you are in a slump to get up and move…this was not one of those times.

Tip #2 – sometimes you just need to listen to your body and take it easy…I did just that

Tip #3 – a rest is sometimes just as good as a great training session…and today it was even better:)

Tip #4 – Its Cinqo De Maya….have a drink…CHEERS! (thanks meandmeg.com)

Tip #5 – If you are perpetually in a slump, have made ‘taking it easy’ your fav pastime or never do a training session and celebrate each day with a drink and a cheers…you are EXEMPT from the above 4 tips and need to get up off the couch and get your @#* MOVING!
