It is that time of year – parties, wine, cookies, appetizers, chocolate and savoury meals with larger then life portions. Late nights, busy schedules and feeling overwhelmed by the lack of time there is to accomplish what ‘need’s to be done.

So what’s a girl to do to stay in balance and not lose her mind or herself?

Here are a few strategies I follow myself and share with my clients too:

  1. Get to bed by 10/10:30pm each night
  2. Create a gratitude moment first thing
  3. Hydrate upon waking
  4. Eat within 1 hour of waking
  5. Take appropriate, good quality supplements – I can’t say which specific supplements are right for you and your body without a full work up, but I can tell you some of the products I stand by wholeheartedly, and one of them is Juice Plus. This supplement is in fact 100% whole foods nutrition and contains the nutrients of 30 fruits and vegetables. Also supplementing with good quality probiotics and Vitamin D will give your body a well-rounded base to thrive from.
  6. Exercise – do it at a gym, take a class, go outside for a walk, work it out in your house – WHATEVER you have to do to get movement a part of your daily life, do THAT!
  7. Re-Group Mid-day and reconnect with your body and breath
  8. Say No to things that don’t serve you, things that stress you out and take up too much of your PRECIOUS time. Remember, there is limited time in a day, and I often hear how tired my clients are. Often people are tired because they are packing their day with more tasks then are humanly possible to accomplish.
  9. Say Yes to things that light you up inside and give you energy
  10. Get Adjusted, book a pedi, book a massage or a tea date with your girlfriend
  11. Read a BOOK
  12. Gratitude before bed
