Ep #72 | Resiliency and True Grit: Coming Home to Yourself with Shannon Hastings
Shannon is a creative entrepreneur, photographer, movement educator, yoga teacher, creator of a women’s yoga retreat called The She Retreat. Shannon is a public speaker and lover of love.
In this episode, Shannon and I talk about resilience. Shannon has recently gone through difficult times, realizing that certain things that she thought would go in a certain way just did not happen as planned. She has walked gracefully through the changes and obstacles that life put in front of her. She comes through this conversation vulnerable, authentic and real so you can look at your own hassles through a different lens.
These are the main subjects of this awesome and inspiring conversation:
- Shannon talks about her experience following a nonlinear professional path.
- Reaching a point where you can feel at home with your body.
- Where can you start to feel validated?
- Shannon shares how she and her mother gave birth to The She Retreat.
- Shannon talks about going through divorce.
- The price to be paid for being open and vulnerable.
- Take time to actually face your pain.
- Learning to be compassionate with oneself.
- You are only responsible for yourself.
- Capturing love through the lens of a camera.
- The essence of The She Retreat.
- Owning your emotions.
I hope you are inspired by the strength of this amazing woman, who proves that owning our emotions when facing our deepest fears and hardest times, are only opportunities to find our true core and keep practicing love and compassion to ourselves. Wishing more simplicity and ease in all that you do!
