The Importance of Community

For today’s Mindset Monday, I want to put the highlight on something a little different.

Health and self-care isn’t always about eating leafy greens and sipping on smoothies. Sometimes the most powerful way you can impact your health AND your mindset, are by surrounding yourself with the right people.

Today, I want to encourage you to spend more time with the people in your life that light you up. You may have friends who inspire you in the kitchen, with new and tasty recipes. Or you have friends that you work out with, who are always down to try a new class or a new way to move. Some of you may even have friends who are just plain inspiring – with their words, their actions and their recommendations of different podcasts, movies or shows to check out.

And then there will be some of you who are saying, Jenn, I don’t have a single person that fits into any one of these categories!

So maybe it’s time shake things up and to try something new! Take a new class, put yourself out there and meet new people. This will open so many doors and opportunities that you didn’t even know were out there. If getting out in your community sounds daunting, try a Facebook group or join an online course where you will get the opportunity to connect with MANY like-minded people on the same journey that you’re on.

Just start with one thing at a time – reach out to a friend, try a new class, read a new book, download a new podcast – whatever it may be.

Allow yourself the opportunity to surround yourself with new energy, because all that energy is going to come back to help you create more simplicity and more ease in all that you do.
