Is Coconut Oil bad for you?
We are kicking off some brand new episodes of Simplicity TV, and this week I want touch on a pretty hot topic…is Coconut Oil bad for you?
In June 2017, the American Heart Association released a study stating that Coconut Oil contributes to heart disease. Since then, I have been flooded with questions and messages from people reaching out to see if this study is the real deal.
I’m not going to break down the specifics of this study (if you want a more detailed breakdown, here is a great article written by Dr. Axe on this very subject), but I want to ask you, what do you think is causing heart disease across North America? Is it coconut oil, or could it be…
- Hotdogs
- Deep Fried, Fast Food
- XL coffees, lattes and frappuccinos loaded with modified cream and sugar
- Lack of exercise
- Refined carbohydrates
- Pop/Soda
- Lack of water
- Freezies made with chemical food dye
- “Ice cream” made of modified milk ingredients
- Artificial Food colouring and sweeteners
- GMO’s
- Sugar
Within days of the AHA’s study, The Cancer Society of Canada also released a grim statistic; nearly 1 in 2 Canadians will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
Which do you think is holding a greater impact on our health, and the health of our families?
Is it the environmental effects of genetically modified foods, the hybridized organisms in our food, the crappy, toxic, artificial, non-food that we’re consuming — or is it the coconut oil?
I can say with certainty that it’s not the coconut oil.
This is why I founded The Simplicity Project, and why my team and I release so much free content for you to absorb. We want to provide you with as much ammo and inspiration to live a full, healthy, holistic life and cut the B.S wherever possible.
Now go slap on some coconut oil!
Wishing you plenty of Simplicity and Ease this week,
Jenn xoxo
