Ep. #007 | Good Juju: A Business Deep Dive with Lisa Karandat & Alexa Monahan
Welcome to The Audacious Woman! I’m Jenn Pike, your host, 7-figure business mentor, aligned leader & strategist helping women generate sustainable & rebellious wealth without crushing their bodies. This is more than a podcast, it’s a movement designed for women and mama’s in business who choose to live like the firestarter they are outloud, setting the world ablaze without burning themselves out in the process. I am the Audacious Woman and I am here to wake up the Audacious Woman in you.
In this episode, I am joined by two audacious women, Lisa Karandat & Alexa Monahan, co-founders of Good Juju. Having spent much of their careers having a direct impact on the health of Canadians, Lisa and Alexa are incredibly passionate about business being a force for good while revolutionizing our everyday products. The partners are on a mission to turn this passion into a measurable impact on the environment, changing consumer behaviour through great products, education and awareness, all while creating a more sustainable business model for the future of business. Join us as we deep dive into the business of Good Juju.
Good Juju makes premium plastic-free body & home essentials that are naturally derived, and free from chemicals commonly found in their traditional liquid counterparts. Beautiful products that are good for you, and good for the planet, too.
They are a female founded, BIPOC, Canadian, Indie Beauty and Clean-Living brand, who have grown rapidly in awareness, influence, and cultural importance by tackling two of the largest issues of our time: the climate crisis and diversity & inclusion. With each transaction, Good juju removes unnecessary plastic from the waste stream and as a 1% for the Planet member, 1% of each sale is donated to environmental causes, ranging from tree planting to ocean cleanup to kelp reforestation. Essentially, a portion of every dollar spent and earned at Good Juju is going towards making a real environmental impact. Moreover, they consistently champion diversity and inclusion because it’s a central component of creating a more just and sustainable world.
Lisa & Alexa believe that you should not have to give up quality when you give up the plastic bottle. Our motto is “Zero Waste with Zero Compromise” making zero-waste a diverse, beautiful, luxurious experience.
