Jihwa Prakshalana, or the Ayurvedic self-care ritual called tongue scraping has becoming one of my favourite morning rituals. Why? Because one of my philosophies is better out than in, and once you use a tongue scraper for the first time, you will understand exactly what I mean.

My Traditional Chinese Medicine Doctor introduced me to this tool and now there isn’t a day that goes by where I don’t use it! This oral hygiene practice removes bacteria, food debris, fungi, toxins, and dead cells from the surface of the tongue, and removes it from your mouth (2).
