From Celeste ~

I was so excited when Jenn invited me to write and share about what I LOVE!!  The first thing that came to  mind was juicing!  It has absolutely transformed my life and the lives of so many of my patients…but as I sat down to write and reflect on it, something else came to my heart.  And so today I want to share with you my deepest passion…what I love most and what I have learned along the way.

Years ago, I worked as a nurse with patients who were terminally ill.  Being able to be present to their lives , stories and sacred last days was such a blessing.

There is one patient in particular who changed the course of my life forever, he inspired me to become a Naturopathic Doctor and his memory always reminds me to follow my heart.  I was blessed to be his nurse for many months and as I watched his disease progress I knew that he didn’t have much more time.  At that point, I knew next to nothing about natural healing but I wanted to do something to try and support him.  I decided that the next time I saw him I would offer to massage his feet…it wasn’t much…but it was all I could think of.  I massaged his feet for nearly an hour and the entire time he shared with me his fears of dying, he cried, he asked me questions and just let all the worries that were weighing on his heart be given voice .  He died peacefully that night in the arms of his wife, leaving her and their 5 beautiful children behind.  He was only 37 years old.

To this day, that hour that I spent with him feels like one of the most important and meaningful things I have ever done.

What I love most is being able to give the time to people that they need and deserve, being able to bear witness to their stories and to support them in some small way on their healing path.

As my practice has evolved I have been drawn to the simplest and most basic ways of healing.  Being  able to nourish and honour the souls of others is my greatest passion and I love to teach people how to nourish and love themselves.

These things are what I most want to share with you…
•    there is *always* time, until there’s not…make time for the people and things in life that you love,  and you will have no regrets
•    cherish each moment and choose JOY
•    follow the wisdom within, it will always guide you in the right direction
•    nourish your body with healthy foods…and fresh green juices ;)… they will strengthen and energize you and they will fuel your dreams!
•    nourish your spirit by surrounding yourself by kind, positive people
•    the smallest act of kindness and love may be the most profound thing that you do in your life
