Sink your teeth into a different kind of juicy gourmet burger and enjoy with all the fixings and no gas or bloat.

Switch over from your ground beef based burgers to ground turkey and not only will you save calories and quite a few grams of saturated fat but you will also reduce the amount of arachidonic acid you are exposing your body to and help to reduce your overall inflammation in your body.

Try combining fresh/thawed ground turkey with enough feta or goat cheese needed to keep these lovely’s together and oregano to taste. Form them into patties, BBQ and you are good to go!

If you are trying to cut calories you can save roughly 120 of them from avoiding a big white bun, I am not a fan of no carbs but white junk is not food to me so unless you are using a multi-grain thin I say ditch it!

I plate my turkey burgers like this:

I start with a base of either mixed greens or kale, then place the turkey burger on top, mashed avocado, roasted red pepper, Dijon mustard, a bit of ketchup and fresh herbs. We will usually have sweet potato fries and a salad with these or grilled veggies.

Next time you feel like a burger and fries try this instead!
