This week were sharing a DIY video about oil pulling. Add oil pulling into your dental care routine, to help eliminate toxic build up in your body, strengthen your gums and brighten your teeth. Jenn also demos how to make your own oil pulling chews at home.

What is Oil Pulling?

Used as a method of detoxification, oil pulling is done, primarily, in the morning. You take about a 1 tsp of coconut oil and swish it around in your mouth, much like a mouth wash, for around 10 to 15 minutes. Because a lot of toxins are fat soluble, the oil helps to draw the toxins from your tongue, under your tongue, between your gums and in your mouth.

Coconut Oil and Peppermint Pulling Chews

  • 3/4 cup of coconut oil
  • 20 drops of doTerra peppermint essential oil (EO)
  1. Combine coconut oil and peppermint EO
  2. Stir and mix throughly
  3. Pour oil mixture into silicone tray of choice
  4. Freeze for 2 hours or over night
  5. Take them out and keep them in the fridge during the summer months. You can keep them in your bathroom during winter months.
